The Yellow Jackets held Mississippi State to 30.8% shooting and forced 13 turnovers. 10 different Georgia Tech players scored in the game. Miles Kelly got his first career double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Kelly made 4 of his 9 three-point attempts in the game. Kyle Sturdivant had 12 points and three rebounds. Naithan George added 11 points and four rebounds. For Mississippi State, Josh Hubbard had 17 points and three rebounds.

The Yellow Jackets put up a good fight against the top-ranked Bulldogs, but Georgia was able to get the 31-23 victory. This was Georgia's 29th consecutive victory, an SEC record. Quarterback Haynes King completed 11 of 20 passes for 158 yards, and he ran the ball 10 times for 24 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Jamal Haynes ran the ball 15 times for 81 yards. Eric Singleton Jr. caught four passes for 96 yards. For Georgia, running back Kendall Milton had 156 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Quarterback Carson Beck completed 13 of 20 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown.
