The Syracuse Orange defended their home court and defeated the Seminoles, 90-82. Syracuse shot a hot 59.3% for the game with 11 made three-pointers. Donnie Freeman led the Orange with 25 points on 9-12 shooting with seven rebounds, three steals, two assists, and a block. Tyler Betsey hit six three-pointers on his way to 18 points. Betsey also had three assists and three steals. JJ Starling added 13 points. Florida State's Kobe Magee had 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Martin Somerville hit four three-pointers and scored 16 points.
