The Clemson Tigers went on the road and held off a tough Syracuse Orange team, 64-61. RJ Godfrey led the Tigers with 14 points on an extremely efficient 7-9 shooting while Dillon Hunter got hot late to help Clemson put the game away and finished with 10 points on 4-5 shooting, including 2-2 from three-point range. Donnie Freeman came back from injury and got off to a slow start, but led the Orange, scoring all of his 18 points in the 2nd half.
