Texas is No. 1, Georgia is No. 2, and after that it's Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri. It’s already started. Wake Forest beats somebody at or near the top of the ACC, and it’s bad for the league. I have to admit this narrative bothers me. It bothers me because it’s lazy. Duke also gets a heavy dose of this lazy analysis when they beat teams too. It’s teams and wins, not brands.

Miami defeats Central Michigan 52-3

After trailing 3-0 early in the game, the #6 Hurricanes ended up defeating the Chippewas 52-3. Quarterback Darian Mensah was phenomenal once again, completing 23 of 27 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns, plus a rushing touchdown. Wide receiver Malachi Toney caught six passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore running back Chris Wheatley-Humphrey was the Hurricanes' leading rusher with 11 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Miami defense had four sacks, eight tackles for loss, an interception, and two fumble recoveries.

Clemson Gets it Done at California 24-10 on Friday Night/Saturday Morning.
