The top-seeded Tar Heels defeated the Panthers, 72-65, to advance to the ACC Tournament Championship game. North Carolina outrebounded Pitt 44-34 and outscored the Panthers 34-20 inside the paint. It was the senior leaders, RJ Davis and Armando Bacot, that led the way for the Tar Heels. Bacot recorded another double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. RJ Davis led all scorers with 25 points, 19 of which came in the second half. For Pitt, Carlton 'Bub' Carrington had 24 points, five rebounds, and three assists, and Jaland Lowe added 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
