The Pitt Panthers came into Cameron Indoor Stadium with confidence and swagger and a 12-2 record and a top 3 offense in the ACC. They left the building bewildered and on the wrong side of a 29 point blowout. The score was probably worse than it looks, considering Pitt was within 11 points at the 8:00 mark of the second half. Unfortunately for Pitt, after 2 live ball turnovers from Duke, a timeout from Jon Scheyer in disgust, they never scored again. Duke ended the game on an electric 18-0 run to pick-up the victory.

Pitt's strong second half leads to 86-74 win over Cal

The Panthers used a strong second half effort to come back and defeat the visiting Golden Bears, 86-74. Cal led by as many as 14 in the first half, but Pitt went on an 11-1 run to end the first half and then the Panthers outscored Cal 48-32 in the second half. Jaland Lowe led Pitt with 27 points and eight rebounds. Cameron Corhen had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Brandin Cummings got his first start of the season and scored 15 points. Cal's Jeremiah Wilkinson had 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Andrej Stojakovic scored 19 points.
