The Duke Blue Devils are the 2025 ACC Football Champions after defeating the #17 Virginia Cavaliers, 27-20. On the opening possession of overtime, Darian Mensah found Jeremiah Hasley in the end zone on 4th & 1 to give the Blue Devils the lead. Then, on Virginia's first play of overtime, they tried to get tricky with a double pass, but Chandler Morris' pass was intercepted by Luke Mergott. It was Mergott's first career interception, and it decided the ACC Championship. It is the Blue Devils' first outright ACC Championship since 1962. Mensah completed 19 pf 25 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Duke running back Nate Sheppard ran for 97 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Cooper Barkate caught five passes for 91 yards. Virginia Chandler Morris completed 21 of 40 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns was an 18-yard pass to Eli Wood with 22 seconds left to force overtime. Running back J'Mari Taylor had 66 rushing yards, 34 receiving yards, and a touchdown.

West Virginia vs. Wake Forest: Playing at the Holiday Hoopfest in Charleston, SC, the Demon Deacons defeated the Mountaineers, 75-66. The game was tied at halftime, but Wake Forest shot 53.6% in the second half and controlled the final 20 minutes. Juke Harris scored a game-high 28 points, making seven three-pointers. Tre'von Spillers added 16 points, four rebounds, and three blocks. Nate Calmese only scored four points for the Demon Deacons, but he also had nine assists and four steals. For West Virginia, Honor Huff hit seven three-pointers and scored 24 points. Chance Moore added 16 points and eight rebounds.
