The #23 Cavaliers dominated the second half as they remained perfect at home with an 84-60 win over the Golden Bears. Virginia opened the second half on an 18-4 run and never looked back. Five UVA players scored in double figures. Malik Thomas led the way with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. Sam Lewis, Johann Grunloh, Thijs De Ridder, and Ugonna Onyenso each scored 12 points. For Cal, Dai Dai Ames scored 18 points, and Justin Pippen had 17 points.

The Stanford Cardinal got a huge 2nd half and late-game heroics from freshman Ebuka Okorie as they stunned the Virginia Tech Hokies, 69-68. Trailing by 2 with less than 5 seconds remaining, the freshman called his own number and drained a big-time 3-pointer. Okorie scored 26 of his game-high 31 points in the 2nd half, scored or assisted on 40 of the final 42 for the Cardinal, and finished with 6 assists, 2 rebounds, and a block. Neoklis Avdalas led the Hokies with 21 points while Ben Hammond added 14 points in the loss.
