Well, here we go. It’s time to start ranking the best players in the ACC for the 2025 season.

As usual, we hope you enjoy the rankings.

Previous and Upcoming Rankings

Quarterbacks | Running Backs  | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen | Tight Ends | Defensive Linemen | Linebackers | Safeties | Special Teams

1) Chandler Rivers, Duke

If you’ve been looking at pre-season All-American lists, there’s a good chance Duke’s Chandler Rivers has been on it. He’s one of the top returning cornerbacks in all of college football. He was a first-team All-ACC player last year, recording 54 tackles and 3 interceptions. The 5-10 player could go in the 1st round of the NFL draft. Yep he’s that good.

2) Avieon Terrell, Clemson

Clemson continues to place players all over our top 5 ACC players at their position list. Cornerback Avieon Terrell is the next Tiger to make it, and he probably won’t be the last. He had 64 tackles and 4.5 tackles last year in a 2nd Team All-ACC season. He’s the brother of former 1st round pick A.J. Terrell, and he might be a 1st round pick himself.

3) Collin Wright, Stanford

Collin Wright is our first Stanford player to make our top 5 ACC player list. He had a 45-tackle 3 3-interception 2024 season. He’s been a standout on the Cardinal defense the last 2 years, and now this year, the rest of the ACC and the country will find out what a good player Wright is.

4) Jeremiah Wilson, Florida State

Florida State has an uneven track record when it comes to transfer portal players. When it hits right, they can land a future pro like Jared Verse. When it misses, they can end up with a retread that didn’t work out like DJ Uiagalelei. CB Jeremiah Wilson looks like one who could work out. He comes in with a ton of experience from Syracuse and Houston, starting 13 games the last 3 years. He had 61 tackles and 6 tackles for loss, starting the last 8 games of the season at Houston.

5) Dante Lovett, Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech has a long history of producing quality defensive backs, and Dante Lovett is trying to join that esteemed group. Lindy’s has Lovett as a 2nd All-ACC preseason selection. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in the potential he’s shown. His ball skills are considered very good, and he’s shown very good athleticism. He could be due for a breakout season.
