The college football season is now officially over after the LSU Tigers took down the Clemson Tigers, 42-25 for the national championship. LSU finally ended the 4 year stranglehold that Clemson and the Alabama Crimson Tide have had on the sport — and it actually feels pretty good.

It feels righteous even.

For MONTHS we had to hear about how much better Clemson and Alabama was compared to the rest of the country — except maybe the Ohio State Buckeyes. For LSU to have one of the greatest seasons in college football history (and maybe just the greatest ever) is one of the better reasons that this sport of college football is pure insanity — and also the greatest.

Personally, watching Dabo lose is all the entertainment I ever need,

For those Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans that wanted Clemson to win to possibly setup some type of showdown in South Bend in November — don’t you worry. If both teams make it it to that November 7 game undefeated, there will still be plenty of hype to go around and help feed the world.

It’s all good.

So, congrats to LSU and Joe Burrow and Ed Orgeron and all of the Bayou Bengals. It was a really fantastic way to end the college football season. Thanks!
