In Tallahassee, the Seminoles survived a go-ahead 3-point attempt by Justin Pippen in the closing seconds to win 63-61 over the Golden Bears. Neither team shot the ball well, with FSU making 36.5% of its field goal attempts and Cal shooting only 34.5%. Florida State's Chauncey Wiggins had 18 points and five rebounds. Robert McCray V added 11 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Justin Pippen led Cal with 19 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
