WINSTON-SALEM--Senior Michael Campanaro caught 11 passes for 122 yards and 1 touchdown as the Wake Forest Demon Deacons defeated the Maryland Terrapins 34-10 at BB&T Field on Saturday night. In doing so, Campanaro becomes the all-time leading receiver at Wake Forest, besting Desmond Clark. In addition to his 11 receptions, Campanaro also completed 2 passes, 1 for a touchdown to quarterback Tanner Price.

The Deacons (4-3, 2-2 ACC) jumped out two a 2-score lead early in the first quarter, and never looked back thanks to a dominating defensive performance led once again by senior Nikita Whitlock. Whitlock recorded 2 sacks on the afternoon, setting the tone for what became a relentless barrage of Demon Deacon tacklers. Wake Forest picked off two errant Terrapin passes, one by A.J. Marshall and the other by Bud Noel.

The Terrapins came into Saturday's game needing 1 more win to become bowl eligible. Instead, they depart Winston-Salem 5-2 (1-2 ACC) and down 2 receivers. Both Stefon Diggs and Deon Long were lost for the season during the game, leaving Maryland in an offensive quandary for the remainder of the season.
