The Wake Forest staff has secured yet another visit from a high-profile 2018 player.

Ayo Dosunmu, a 5-star point guard for the class of 2018 has set his first two visits, and one of them will be with Wake Forest.

Dosunmu is the 31st ranked player in the 2018 class and the 4th ranked combo-guard according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. While all the Crystal Ball predictions (8 of them) have Dosunmu picking Illinois, the fact that he is visiting USC and Wake Forest indicates that it is still a very fluid situation.

The Wake Forest football team will be hosting Florida State on Saturday, September 30th, so the atmosphere should be a good one for the visit.

Also visiting that weekend is 3-star PF Nate Roberts out of Brewster Academy. Other visits that Wake currently has lined up are PG Michael Devoe (4-star), and SF Isaiah Mucius (4-star). They are visiting on Homecoming Weekend (September 14th-16th).

Aside from Roberts, all of these guys, including Wake Forest lean Jaylen Hoard are ranked in the top 100 of the 247Sports composite. It is assumed that the staff will plan on taking four players in the class of 2018, so that leaves three sports open since Sharone Wright, Jr. is already committed.

Overall this is very welcome news, as Dosunmu is likely the top PG on the staff’s board that is a realistic target. This is yet another big name that the staff has managed to get on campus as they continue to work tirelessly on the recruiting trail. Kudos to them for getting these guys on campus, it’s now time to seal the deal on some of these guys and land a top 15-20 recruiting class for 2018.
