Despite still being without superstar freshman Caleb Wilson, the No. 16 North Carolina Tar Heels went on the road and earned a tough 77-64 win over the Syracuse Orange. Henri Veesaar returned from missing a few games and led the Tar Heels in scoring with 19 points on an efficient 9-13 shooting to go along with 3 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in the win. Seth Trimble and Luka Bogavac both stepped up in Wilson's absence once again and added 13 points each, and Zayden High chipped in 9 points for Hubert Davis's club. J.J. Starling paced the Orange with 22 points in a losing effort.
