The Syracuse Orange flexed control from the opening tip, using pace and pressure to separate early and roll past Delaware State Hornets 83-43. Syracuse forward Donnie Freeman led the way with 20 points on 6-of-8 FG, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Freshman guard Kiyan Anthony added 19 points on 8-of-11 FG (2-of-4 3PT) in his first start. The Orange defense did the rest, holding the Hornets to 21.5 percent shooting and causing 15 turnovers in the lopsided victory.
