It was a defensive battle in Chestnut Hill as the Virginia Tech Hokies visited the Boston College Eagles and left with a 21-14 victory. Weather dictated a good bit of the play as a Nor'easter storm hammered the East Coast. The Hokies trailed 14-6 in the 4th quarter before Ethan Grunkemeyer connected with Marlion Jackson for a touchdown and a Jeffrey Overton Jr. two-point conversion tied the game. One possession later, Jeffrey Overton Jr. motored 76 yards for a touchdown to break the tie. Grunkemeyer finished the game with 147 yards on 22-35 passing, and Overton Jr. racked up 190 yards on 24 carries. Mason McKenzie ran the ball 26 times for 138 yards with 2 touchdowns in a gutsy losing effort.
