The No.16 Hokies will face the Boston College Eagles this Saturday. After a loss to No. 2 Clemson last week, the Hokies are hoping for a much-needed rebound.

When: Saturday, October 7th. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. ET

Where: Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, Mass.

How to Watch: ESPN2

Preview:

This week is strictly business for the Hokies. After their first loss of the season to the No.2 Clemson Tigers, it’s time for the Hokies to move on and focus their attention on the rest of the season.

The Hokies will be traveling to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts for Saturday night’s ACC matchup against the Boston College Eagles at tAlumni Stadium.

Now with a record of 4-1, Virginia Tech sits at No.16 in the AP Poll after last week’s loss. This game is crucial for the Hokies to bounce back, but they must be ready for a hard-hitting contest.

Last week the Hokies struggled, committing three turnovers, missing a field goal, and failing on a fake field goal late in the game. These mistakes must be avoided against a Boston College team that shouldn’t give them much trouble.

For Saturday’s game, Josh Jackson must test Boston College’s defense. Jackson has completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 1,378 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.

Cam Phillips is also looking to get back on track. Phillips is only 5 receptions away from breaking the school record of 210, set by Isaiah Ford. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds leads the Virginia Tech team with 42 tackles, and will certainly be leaned on to help the Hokies to stop the Eagles’ run game.

Prediction:

Virginia Tech is expected to run away with a victory Saturday night. Boston College lost 3 straight games prior to a win against Central Michigan last week, 28-8. This should give the Eagles a bit of confidence as they wait for the Hokies to arrive in Massachusetts.

Prediction: Virginia Tech 38, Boston College, 24
