The Tigers went on the road and played a nighttime West Coast game, and defeated the Golden Bears, 24-10. The Clemson defense only allowed 231 total yards and did not allow an offensive touchdown. Running back Gideon Davidson ran the ball 22 times for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. had a 65-yard punt return touchdown to give Clemson a lead in the third quarter. Quarterback Tait Reynolds was 13-21 for 108 yards and an interception, with 28 rushing yards on 11 carries. Cal quarterback Jaron- Keawe Sagapolutele completed 16 of 29 passes for 119 yards and two interceptions.
