Biscuits in the Bahamas?

UNC played much better on Saturday against an obviously inferior opponent to take a 109-52 win over the Bahamas All-Stars.

UNC has a full recap here. Sophomore forward Isaiah Hicks led the Heels in scoring for a second straight game and freshman Justin Jackson also posted a second consecutive double figure scoring effort. The breakdown of the scoring looked like this.

North Carolina (109)
Isaiah Hicks (19), Justin Jackson (16), Desmond Hubert (12), Marcus Paige (9), J.P. Tokoto (8), Jackson Simmons (8), Joel Berry II (7), Theo Pinson (7), Brice Johnson (6), Joel James (5), Kennedy Meeks (5), Nate Britt (4), Luke Davis (3)

Bahamas All-Stars (52)
Abel Joseph (16), Dionte Smith (12), David Taylor (8), Kevin Hinsey (7), Roosevelt Whylly (5), Devon Ferguson (4)

UNC enjoyed a sizable height advantage over this squad with a 53-19 edge on the boards. UNC also shot the ball much better and cut the number of attempted threes in half putting up just 13 threes in this game versus 25 in the first contest.

As was the case with the one point loss, a 57 point whipping of a team that didn't have at least five players show up until well past the scheduled star of the game means very little. The value in this trip is building team chemistry and getting everyone a little live action ahead of the beginning of practice. The various lineup combinations and what not show these games were mostly about kicking the tires on the 2014-15 Tar Heels before the season actually starts.
