Most of this has been known in bits and pieces but here is the pre-January slate for men's basketball laid out in full.

Day Date Opponent Location
Friday November 6 Guilford(Exhibition) Chapel Hill
Friday November 13 Temple Annapolis, MD
Sunday November 15 Fairfield Chapel Hill
Wednesday November 18 Wofford Chapel Hill
Saturday November 21 Northern Iowa Cedar Falls, IA
Monday November 23 Kansas State/Missouri/Northwestern(CBE Classic) Kansas City, MO
Tuesday November 24 Kansas State/Missouri/Northwestern(CBE Classic) Kansas City, MO
Tuesday December 1 Maryland(ACC/B1G Challenge) Chapel Hill
Sunday December 6 Davidson Chapel Hill
Saturday December 12 Texas Austin, TX
Wednesday December 16 Tulane Chapel Hill
Saturday December 19 UCLA Brooklyn, NY
Monday December 21 Appalachian State Chapel Hill
Monday December 28 UNCG Chapel Hill

No times have been announced for these yet. That will come when the ACC does the full release of the basketball schedule some time in August.

This is a fairly stout non-conference slate opening the season against Temple then facing a slew of potentially ranked/NCAA Tournament caliber teams. Even the mid-major type teams like Northern Iowa and Davidson won't be walks in the park. The game versus Northern Iowa will be a true road game and serve as the homecoming game for Iowa native Marcus Paige.

This type of schedule means it will be incumbent on this team to come out of the gate playing at a level similar to what we saw at the end of the season. Roy Williams' teams tend to start the season slow but with a team that returns so many experienced players, that shouldn't be the case. UNC dug a hole last season in terms of NCAA seeding by not collecting enough quality wins. If UNC can go into ACC play having performed extremely well against this slate it will put the team on an inside track for a high seed and placement in Raleigh for the 1st and 2nd Rounds.
