After missing four exhibition games in Italy last month with a broken finger, Syracuse Orange men’s basketball forward Marek Dolezaj has been cleared for all basketball activities, per CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

Dolezaj had broken his finger earlier this summer in Slovakia. The injury prevented him from playing with the Slovakian national team. As stated, Dolezaj did not participate in the Italy exhibition games with Syracuse in August, but he did make the trip with the team.

The news drops just before Syracuse is set to begin practice on Wednesday. Rothstein was on campus at SU and sat down with head coach Jim Boeheim for an interview on Tuesday (amongst other things).

Now a junior at Syracuse, Dolezaj is expected to take on a larger role after starting in his freshman campaign and being a key player as a sophomore. He averaged 5.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks per game last season.
