Duke running back Nate Sheppard is off to an amazing start to the 2026 season and looks to keep the good times rolling as the Blue Devils take on Stanford this Saturday. Sheppard opened the season with a 227-yard, 2-touchdown outing in the win against Tulane that earned him the honor of being named the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week. The 2nd-year back followed up that performance with a 3-touchdown, 188-total yard outing in the win over Illinois. For the season, Sheppard has scored 5 total touchdowns, which is over 60% of the Blue Devils' scoring and has racked up an FBS-high 434 all-purpose yards and 187 rushing yards per game.
