The North Carolina Tar Heels and the Duke Blue Devils played another classic rivalry game that went back-and-forth in the 4th quarter and came down to the wire. Carolina came away with the 24-20 win after Jaylen McGill answered a Nate Sheppard late TD with one of his own with less than 2 minutes remaining. The Blue Devils still had a chance, but Kenton Dopson III picked off a pass by Walker Eget to seal the deal. Billy Edwards Jr. completed 15-25 passes, had 211 total yards and 1 TD pass, while Jordan Shipp caught 7 passes for 75 yards and his first touchdown grab of the season. Walker Eget looked good throughout the game and threw for 249 yards on 24-38 passing for Manny Diaz's crew, while Nate Sheppard was more of a threat in the passing game than the running game and finished with 11 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown, to go along with 20 carries for 77 yards.
