The Pitt Panthers went on the road and jumped out to a 12-0 lead early on the Boston College Eagles, but Bill O'Brien's crew was able to battle back and come away with a 27-21 win in Chestnut Hill. Pat Narduzzi started true freshman quarterback Corey Dailey at quarterback, and Dailey threw a 75-yard touchdown to Cataurus "Blue" Hicks on the 1st play from scrimmage, but the BC defense held stout after that. Mason McKenzie did not run much but had a very impressive game throwing the ball, completing 17-28 passes for a career-high 295 yards and 2 touchdowns. Landon Wright caught 2 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. Dailey finished the game 11-25 for 193 yards, while Hicks caught 5 passes for 135 yards and the 75-yard score in the loss.
