Charlotte Transfer Keyshawn Woods Will Visit Wake Forest

Wake continues to explore options for the final scholarship spot for 2015.

David Scott, who writes for the Charlotte Observer, reported last night that Charlotte transfer Keyshawn Woods will visit Wake Forest. Scott reports that Woods will also visit South Carolina, Creighton, Butler, and St. Joseph's. Wherever Woods chooses to play, he will be required to sit out a season before being eligible to play during the 2016-2017 season. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Woods averaged 8.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists for Charlotte last season. The Gastonia native also shot 46.6% from beyond the arc last season, which was 13th best in the country last season. He had an offensive rating of 111.6, which was one of the 400 best in the country.

Woods would provide Wake with another deep threat, but has the potential to complicate the guard situation moving forward. The Deacs have a handful of guards who are only going to be sophomores next season, and they also have mutual interest with a number of wings in the 2016 recruiting class. It's important to remember, however, that Woods has yet to receive a scholarship offer from Wake. If Wake would receive a commitment from Woods, it's also unclear how much Wake would continue to pursue several 2016 wings.
