A blow to the Orange as the season approaches

Well it looks like the injury bug/curse has made it’s way to the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball roster. Syracuse announced that guard Chance Westry injured his lower leg on Thursday and would be out indefinitely.
Westry missed most of last season with the Auburn Tigers with a knee injury so it’s unfortunate for him that he’ll be out again in 23-24. On Saturday, Adrian Autry left the door open for Westry’s return, telling Donna Ditota
“It’s a lower leg injury,” Autry said, “and we feel good about it.”
Westry was being talked about as playing multiple positions this season and his injury would likely open the door for Quadir Copeland to assume that role. Copeland stood out in both public scrimmages and we’ll see if he can carry that over into the regular season.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding Westry. Hopefully he’ll be able to make a full recovery and be able to contribute to the Orange this season.
