The Golden Bears went across the bay and defeated the rival Cardinal, 78-66. Cal trailed by 16 in the first half but ended the first half on a 25-5 run to take a lead they would never relinquish. Stanford struggled to score around the rim, going just 9-24 on layup attempts. John Camden had his first double-double of the season for Cal, scoring a season-high 25 points to go with 10 rebounds. Justin Pippen scored 18 points and had six assists. Jeremy Dent-Smith led Stanford with 20 points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists, and a block. Ebuka Okorie scored 14 points, going 12-14 on free throws.
