Brice Johnson's incredible journey hits a new height as the Los Angeles Clippers have selected him with the 25th pick in the NBA Draft.

Johnson joins a long and distinguished list of Tar Heels drafted under Roy Williams. He is the 15th first round pick since Roy Williams took over the program in 2003 and the 20th Williams era player to hear his named called.  In UNC history Johnson is 109th Tar Heel to be drafted and the 47th to be taken in the first round.

Johnson capped off a stellar career at UNC averaging a double-double(17.0 ppg, 10.4 rpg) as a senior on his way to being named First Team All-ACC, All-America and the KenPom Player of the Year. Johnson led UNC is scoring and rebounding as the Tar Heels won the ACC regular season and tournament championships before falling to Villanova in the national title game.

Johnson established himself as a prolific rebounder with a defensive rebounding rate of 28.5 which was the best ever for a Tar Heel big man under Williams. Offensively Johnson showed the ability to hit mid-range jumpers, use his athleticism to score in the post and became a reliable free throw shooter hitting 78.3% at the line as a senior.
