Let's take a look at Georgia Tech football.

Best / Worse Case Record for :

Louisville | Virginia | Miami | Duke | Boston College | Pittsburgh | Florida State | Virginia Tech | NC State | Clemson | Syracuse | North Carolina | Wake Forest

ACC 2021 Football Schedule

Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech fans have been patient with Geoff Collins. They know transitioning from Paul Johnson’s Triple Option offense would take time. That time is rapidly approaching. He now enters year 3, and it’s time to show results and not just sell hope. Recruiting is largely going well, and there have been glimpses of growth, but at the end of the day it’s what happens on the field that will matter. A brutal schedule won’t help matters, but Jacket fans have to see something tangible in the W/L column in 2021.

Will Go 7-5 (4-4) if:
The defense isn’t the trainwreck it was last year. Defensively the Jackets were a mess last year ranking near the bottom of the ACC and the country in a number of defensive statistical categories. With the majority of starters back, and some quality transfers coming in like Ayinde Eley from Maryland, the defense should be better. QB Jeff Sims showed promise, but has to cutdown on redzone turnovers. RB Jahmyr Gibbs is a superstar in the making. If the Jackets can just steal 1 game from Clemson, UNC, Notre Dame, Miami, UGA then they have a shot to be competitive against the rest of their schedule.

Will Go 3-9 (1-7) if:
The schedule is just too much. Clemson, UNC, at Miami, at Notre Dame, Boston College and Georgia. Georgia Tech could easily go 0-6 in that stretch. So where will the wins come from? If you beat Northern Illinois, Kennesaw State, and possibly Duke which is the on road, you still have Pitt, at Virginia and Virginia Tech. Collins is 0-6 against that group. The RB unit is only grouping I’m 100% confident in. It wouldn’t take much for the Jackets to end up with a 3 or 4 win season.
