ACC to get revenue bump in 2027?

We’ve been wondering what exactly will happen in 2027 when the Raycom sublicensing agreement comes to an end.

We know the ACC schools will have at least  $3 Million per year going back to ACC schools at that time due to rights buyback for the ACC Network coming off the books. The content though at the end of the Raycom deal, we suspected had value, but how much?

Take a listen to the youtube video by @joeovies who’s covered the ACC since the 1990s, starting at the 8-minute mark. He says the primary rights deal of the ACC could grow to as much as $600 Million per year. Now you do the math, that would be over $40 Million per year per ACC school, and doesn’t include the ACC Network. As Ovies says that’s still well behind the Big 10 and SEC, but would keep the ACC ahead of the Big 12 and Pac 12. This would also leave the ACC with a more workable gap.

Now Ovies is clear these are estimates on his part, but it’s now clear that there will be a significant bump of some sort in 2027.

The final number? We will see…
