The Demon Deacons add a second player to the 2019 class.

Wake Forest welcomed in its second player in the 2019 class on Monday when 6-9, 190 pound power forward Ody Oguama committed to Danny Manning and the Demon Deacons.

Oguama tweeted out that he was committed to the Deacs at 1:49 PM.

There is little out there about Oguama, as he does not appear to be ranked by any of the recruiting websites. He is listed at 6-9, 190 pounds, and plays at Woodstock Academy in Woodstock, CT.

From what I can tell, he was beginning to pick up a little bit of steam in the past month or so, and Manning must have seen something that he liked because he offered him on October 18th, per the Phenom Hoop Report.

Les Johns over at Demon Deacon Digest interviewed him earlier and I am sure that will be over at his site this afternoon, so be sure to check it out.

Oguama joins Ismael Massoud in the 2019 class, and is the second player in over a month to commit to the Deacs.

Massoud committed back on September 24th, and is the 127th ranked player in the class according to 247Sports.

We will have more coverage on him and the class to come, but as Ned wrote in last week’s recruiting forecast, Oguama was a very likely candidate to come to Wake following the offer. Here was his breakdown on Oguama’s game.

Breakdown: Ody Oguama is an athletic big man who recently reclassified to 2019 while transferring up to Woodstock Academy (CT). He is a brand new name to our Big Board here, having just recently received an offer from the staff in mid-October. News broke just last night that Oguama would be taking an Official Visit to Wake this weekend and it’s clear the Deacs are trying to capitalize on being an early entrant to his recruitment.

Welcome to Wake Forest Ody, we are happy to have you here and look forward to seeing you wear the Old Gold and Black!
