Wake Forest vs. Virginia Game Postponed

The Deacs will have extra time to prepare for Virginia.

The Wake Forest game against Virginia has been moved back one day due to the winter storm that is expected to hit part of the east coast. The game was originally schedule for Monday, January 25th at 9 p.m. and would have aired on ESPNU, but will now be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN3.

The extra day of preparation will be much needed for the Demon Deacons, as the original schedule had them playing at Miami on Saturday at noon, and then hosting Virginia on Monday evening. Given how difficult the teams are, every bit of preparation matters. Virginia, however, had their home game on Saturday against Syracuse moved to Sunday evening, so they don't have that much time to prepare for Wake. Wake has roughly 31 extra hours than Virginia to prepare. Virginia is a talented, smart, and well-coached team, but fatigue could become a factor in this one. Virginia will still be about an 8-point favorite in the matchup against Wake, but this will be Wake's best chance at a top 25 victory for the rest of the season.
