Chris Clark, the No. 1 TE in the 2015 class and UCLA transfer, will continue his career at Syracuse.

Syracuse has not had a history of recruiting elite talent in the era of scouting and ranking services such as Rivals and Scout. As a matter of fact, Syracuse has never landed a recruit rated 5-stars by either of those services. However, that statistic is now void as of today. It was first reported by Mike McAllister of Scout.com that former 5-star TE Chris Clark, who is transferring from UCLA, will continue his collegiate career at Syracuse.

Clark stated through Direct Message that his comfort with the coaches and the team as a whole were the determining factors in his decision. The great coach relationship should be no surprise, as Syracuse was the first school to extend him an offer back in the summer of 2013. He also expressed excitement to be working in Tim Lester's offense, which he sees as a great fit. "I feel like I am going to be able to do all the things I need to be the best player I can be." Unless the NCAA decides to grant a waiver that Syracuse will likely file, Clark will likely have to sit out until the 2017 season, when Clark will be a redshirt sophomore. He will enroll at Syracuse in January

Coming out of Avon Old Farms HS (CT), Clark was the No.1 TE and No. 23 overall player in the class of 2015, making him easily the highest rated recruit Syracuse has landed in recent memory. This commitment is monumental for the Syracuse program, as it can now show its top recruits that it can bring in top recruits and that the program is trending in a positive direction.

Here are some of his high school highlights:
