Pitt qualifies for ACC Tournament with 71-69 OT win over Syracuse

In a game that the Pitt Panthers needed to win in order to qualify for the 2026 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament, they got the job done with a 71-69 overtime victory over the Syracuse Orange. With the score tied at 69, Nojus Indrusaitis found an open lane, and William Kyle III was late with his rejection attempt, leading to a goaltending call that gave the Panthers the win after a missed heave by Naithan George. The game went back and forth and saw 13 ties and 7 lead changes. Cameron Corhen had an extremely impressive outing, scoring 21 points on 8-14 shooting while Barry Dunning Jr. added 17 points and Indrusaitis scored 16 in the win. Naithan George had a phenomenal game for the Orange and finished with 26 points on 8-17 shooting, including 4-10 from three-point range, along with 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Donnie Freeman added 18 points and 13 rebounds while Nate Kingz chipped in 14 points for Adrian Autry's squad in the loss.
