SMU put together a dominant wire-to-wire performance, overwhelming Cal State Fullerton 110–63 behind a blistering offensive night. The Mustangs poured in 51 first-half points taking control early and pushed the lead as high as 49. B.J. Edwards had a monster night, recording a triple-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jermaine O'Neal Jr. also scored 21 and 4 other Mustangs scored in double-digits.
