Louisville will open ACC play on Sunday without one of its top players. On his website Saturday morning, Rick Pitino announced that point guard Trey Lewis will miss U of L's game against Wake Forest because of a bad ankle sprain suffered during practice on Friday.

We need you Card fans more than ever on Sunday night when we play Wake Forest. Trey Lewis is out with a bad ankle sprain suffered in practice on Friday. We are behind the eight ball with no backup point. We will see with practice what to do. Levitch is option one. Ryan off red shirt option two. There is no foreseeable third option. Get ready. We need you !!!

Lewis came into this weekend averaging 14.7 ppg, 2.6 apg, and 3.9 rpg. His absence means that the starting Cardinal backcourt against the Demon Deacons will consist of Quentin Snider and true freshman Donovan Mitchell, whom Pitino said earlier this week he was planning to start anyway.

Tip-off between Louisville and Wake Forest is set for 8 p.m.
