The three biggest ACC football question marks of that week. Here we go for Week 2.

Can Miami and/or NC State get statement wins this week?

Miami and NC State have tremendous opportunities this weekend. Both at home Miami faces Texas A&M and NC State faces Notre Dame. Florida State and North Carolina opened the season dispatching their OOC tests LSU and South Carolina. Can Miami and/or NC State do the same? I feel like at least one of these two is going to pull the trick with their home games.

Who gets to 2-0 out of Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech?

All three teams face credible opponents this week. Pittsburgh/Cincinnati, Wake Forest/Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech/Purdue are all decent opponents. I think Pittsburgh and Wake Forest get to 2-0. Virginia Tech is the wildcard. Purdue comes into the game 0-1 with a loss to Fresno State. Virginia Tech is hosting in this one, and I still think the Boilermakers are a dangerous opponent. A win here would go a long to getting the Hokies to a bowl game.

Can a good performance against Charleston Southern get Clemson back on track?

The answer here is no. I mean playing good is better than playing bad, but in the end, Clemson will overwhelm Charleston Southern, and it won’t instill any true confidence. The game against Duke was such an unmitigated disaster we won’t know until after the Florida State game if Clemson has progressed. To prove that Clemson will need to be competitive, but that game is still 3 weeks away.
