The ACC announced on Sunday that Pitt’s matchup with Louisville scheduled for Wednesday had been postponed due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the Louisville program. And among those in the program who tested positive were Cardinals head coach Chris Mack.

The game is one of many that have been postponed over COVID-19 issues this season. Pitt was forced to delay its matchups with Duke and Notre Dame in December due to positive tests within the Pitt program. After that first pause of the season, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Boston College all ran into COVID-19 issues, prompting more delays.

With the trip to Louisville delayed, Pitt will next play against Georgia Tech this coming Sunday. That game is a makeup for one that was originally scheduled for Jan. 12. After that, Pitt has five games remaining, but it also has a matchup to make up against Florida State in addition to the games against Boston College and Louisville. However, exactly when the Boston College and Louisville games will be made up remains unclear at this point.
