The MyGameSim college football rankings flipped at the top after Week 9. Indiana is No. 1. Ohio State, which had held the spot the last two weeks, dropped to No. 3 after a 30-18 loss at USC.

The Buckeyes never led at the Coliseum. Trent Mosley took a screen 69 yards for a touchdown on USC's second snap, Jayden Maiava kept the chains moving, and Ohio State spent the night kicking field goals. Luke Fahey threw for 260 yards and found Jeremiah Smith for a late score, but the Trojans were in control from the opening minute. Two weeks after a four-point win at Indiana put Ohio State on the top line, a road loss knocked them off it.
Indiana's path was quieter and enough. The Hoosiers beat Minnesota 23-16 at home, moved up two spots, and now own the best season-long profile in the rankings. Georgia stayed at No. 2 after beating Florida 27-8.
The games that moved the board
- South Carolina went into Norman and beat Oklahoma 42-25. That is the cleanest swing of the week: the Gamecocks climbed five spots, and the Sooners dropped 10.
- Baylor routed UCF 41-9 on Friday. DJ Lagway threw for 319 yards, and a team that had been No. 21 fell out of the Top 25 entirely.
- Ole Miss blasted Auburn 45-15 and entered the rankings at No. 21. Auburn, No. 24 a week ago, is now just outside.
- Iowa shut out Wisconsin 30-0. Texas beat Mississippi State 31-3 and moved up to No. 4. Louisville handled Stanford 52-24 and climbed to No. 6.
Miami is still unbeaten after a 38-35 win at North Carolina, and the Hurricanes still fell from No. 5 to No. 8. UCLA shut out Nevada and slipped two spots to No. 9. A win that does not move the efficiency numbers will not protect a ranking when the teams around you do more.
Biggest movers
Florida (+10, 25 to 15) and Oklahoma (-10, 13 to 23) are the two ends of the same weekend. The Sooners' drop is easy to read: a 42-25 home loss to South Carolina. Florida's climb needs a sentence of explanation. The Gators lost 27-8 at Georgia and still made the biggest jump inside the new Top 25. One bad afternoon against the No. 2 team did not erase a season of strong adjusted offense, and the group Florida passed had a much rougher Saturday.
Baylor (+10, 34 to 24) is the other double-digit riser, and that one came with a blowout. UCF (-14, 21 to 35) and Oklahoma State (-12, 20 to 32) are the teams that left the board. The Cowboys lost a 51-49 game at Iowa State. UCF's loss was not close.
Oregon (+8, 30 to 22) beat Northwestern 34-26 and is back in the Top 25. Ole Miss (+7, 28 to 21) came in on the Auburn win. South Carolina (+5, 18 to 13) keeps climbing after a second straight ranked win. Kentucky (+4, 29 to 25) checked in on a bye, the last spot on the board.
Michigan (-10, 17 to 27) won at Rutgers 28-21 and fell out anyway. The offensive profile is well behind the teams that entered this week, and a one-score win over Rutgers did not close that gap. Wisconsin (+3, 22 to 19) is the other odd line: the Badgers were shut out at Iowa and still moved up, because several teams that had been in front of them dropped out of the Top 25.
