Boopie Miller was the hero for the Mustangs as he hit a shot from halfcourt as the buzzer sounded to defeat the Hokies, 77-76. SMU was trailing the entire second half until the final shot went in at the buzzer. Miller scored a game-high 24 points to go with six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Jaden Toombs had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Samet Yigitoglu had 14 points and three rebounds. Jailen Bedford led Virginia Tech with 22 points and seven rebounds. Jaden Schutt hit four three-pointers off the bench and scored 15 points.
