A complete inability to stop the run, multiple mental lapses in big situations and a head-scratching quarterback substitution all made for a rough ending to what had been an overwhelmingly positive 2014 season for the Louisville football team.
There will be plenty of time to digest what happened both tonight and over the course of the previous four months, but for now ... it's bad. This isn't the way any of us wanted to say goodbye to guys like DeVante Parker, Lorenzo Mauldin, Eli Rogers and the rest of the seniors. It also isn't the way U of L wanted to springboard into its second season in the ACC.
