After weeks of speculation, the biggest offseason question surrounding the Louisville basketball team finally has an answer. Chinanu Onuaku will remain in the NBA Draft and won't return to U of L for his junior season.

A wild day of speculation ended with the sophomore center making the announcement official on his Instagram page:

Earlier in the day, Rick Pitino reiterated his stance that Onuaku would remain in the draft, and that the 2016-17 Cardinal team would be fine without him.

"We will be every bit as good with or without him," Pitino said on 93.9 The Ville. "That's the one position we have where depth isn't an issue because we've got Mangok and we've got Anas and we've got Matz. We've been preparing for life without him since the end of last season."

Onuaku averaged 9.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for U of L as a sophomore last season. He earned All-ACC Defensive Team accolades after posting 62 blocked shots, and his 11 double-doubles were the fifth-most ever by a Cardinal sophomore.

Best of luck to Nanu in the coming weeks, and here's hoping that he could work his way into being a first round pick.
