Keyshawn Woods Will Transfer or Begin Professional Career

The Redshirt Junior has played his last game in the black and gold

Redshirt junior Keyshawn Woods has decided to forgo his senior season at Wake Forest in order to pursue opportunities to play elsewhere, per Wake Forest.

Woods was the second leading scorer for the Deacs this season, averaging 11.9 points per game on 44% shooting from the floor. In his 2 year Wake Forest career, Woods averaged 12.2 points per game and shined as a shooter, knocking down 41% of his shots from beyond the arc.

Woods joins Donovan Mitchell, Sam Japhet-Mathias, and Rich Washington as players who will no longer be suiting up in the black and gold for the Deacs next season. Danny Manning and the rest of the coaching staff will definitely need to be looking at grad transfers for next season to make up for lost production.

It is currently unclear whether Keyshawn will use his final year of eligibility and grad transfer to another school or forgo his final season as an amateur player and begin his pro career. Whatever he ultimately decides, we would like to wish him the best on a long and successful career.
