Goal: Final Four

Inside Carolina with the scoop on Joel Berry's future plans. The Tar Heel point guard intends to return to Chapel Hill for his junior season according to his father, Joel Berry, Sr.

Berry scored in double figures in 35 of UNC's 40 games. UNC lost just three of those games including the national title tilt versus Villanova. In nine games during the ACC and NCAA Tournaments, Berry  went for 14.7 ppg, 4.2 apg, 3.1 rpg and just 1.2 turnovers per game. He also shot 37.2% from three in postseason play and 38.2% for the season making him UNC's best perimeter threat.

Based on his sophomore season, Berry could be a preseason All-ACC pick and one of the best point guards in the league.

Berry's return puts perhaps the most critical piece in place for UNC to still be a top ten team despite the losses of Marcus Paige and Brice Johnson. Three more decisions still loom with Justin Jackson, Isaiah Hicks and Kennedy Meeks left to decide what is next for them.
