The Hokies survived a late rally by the Yellow Jackets to get a 71-65 victory. Virginia Tech led by 15 with 4:20 to go, and Georgia Tech had the lead down to two with 19 seconds remaining. The Hokies scored 20 points off of 14 Yellow Jacket turnovers. Ben Hammond led Virginia Tech with 20 points, making three three-pointers, grabbing three rebounds, dishing out three assists, and stealing the ball once. Jailen Bedford had 14 points, four assists, and two rebounds. Georgia Tech's Jaeden Mustaf had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
