A freshman will start in Adel’s place.

Deng Adel, Louisville’s leading scorer at 15.5 ppg, will miss the Cardinals’ Thursday night game against Georgia Tech because of an ankle injury. Freshman guard Darius Perry will start in Adel’s place.

The good news for Louisville is that Ray Spalding, who has also been dealing with an ankle injury, is good to go.

Georgia Tech is dealing with a far more serious helping of off the court adversity, as head coach Josh Pastner has been hit with a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a former friend.

As of this posting, there has been no word on whether or not Pastner will coach in tonight’s game.
