Best / Worse Case Record for :

South Florida v SyracuseClemson | Georgia Tech | Virginia | Miami | Louisville | Duke | Boston College  | Pittsburgh | Florida State | Virginia TechNC State | North Carolina | Wake Forest

Syracuse
To say the last couple of years have been a struggle for Syracuse is an understatement. There have 3 ACC wins in two years. That ended the tenure of former head coach Scott Shafer. The well respected Dino Babers is now the head coach and his high octane offensive philosophy  gives Syracuse fans hope that better days could be ahead.

Will Go 6-6 (3-5) if:
Dino Babers offense can sneak up on some teams. The Orange aren’t a very talented team, but most of their offensive skill position players return. There will be a good bit of experience back, and  if they take to Babers offense quickly there’s a chance to surprise some people. To open the schedule Syracuse plays Colgate, Louisville, South Florida, and at Connecticut. That’s three possible wins, and maybe a chance to pull an upset against Louisville.

Wake Forest and Boston College are also win possibilities. That’s 5 games where the Orange will have as much if not more talent than their opponent. If Syracuse takes care of business there, and score an upset along the way a 6-6 season doesn’t seem that far fetched.

Will Go 3-9 (1-7) if:
A mediocre defense gets even worse which is possible. This is going to be a young inexperienced defensive line, that may really have some problems this year. Look at this schedule – Louisville, Notre Dame, Florida State, Clemson. It’s very likely that Syracuse goes 0-4 in those games. Every other game on the schedule minus Colgate could be a toss-up. Syracuse may be a year way from seeing the fruits of Dino Babers coaching.
