The Demon Deacons and the Aggies wrap up their seasons tomorrow in Charlotte, NC at 1 PM.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (7-5) head to Charlotte to take on the Texas A&M Aggies (7-5) at Bank of America Stadium on Friday, December 29th at 1 PM. The Demon Deacons are seeking its 8th win in a season for the seventh time ever, including a fourth time in the past 12 seasons.

This is the first ever meeting between the Aggies and the Demon Deacons, and will air on ESPN for all of America to see.

Wake Forest is ranked 36th in the S&P+ rankings, while Texas A&M currently sits at 64th. The Deacs defeated 5 bowl eligible teams in 9 games this season and the Aggies defeated one bowl eligible team (South Carolina).

Texas A&M has a balanced offense and defense that rank 64th and 66th respectively in S&P+. On offense it relies on big plays to offset the fact that staying on schedule throughout a set of downs has been a weakness (117th nationally).

Following the departure of Kevin Sumlin and the subsequent hiring of former Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, the Aggies will be coached by special teams coach Jeff Banks. He will likely start Nick Starkel at quarterback, who took over for dual-threat QB Kellen Mond in early November.

Vegas has Wake Forest as a three point favorite as of publishing.

The Deacs are led on offense by senior quarterback John Wolford and senior TE Cam Serigne. Serigne holds the ACC record amongst tight ends for receptions, reception yards, and is tied for touchdowns with Bucky Hodges (Virginia Tech) and Heath Miller (UVA).

Wolford has thrown for over 2,700 yards on the year with 25 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions. He is also averaging 8.2 yards per attempt.

Wake Forest also expects to have all hands on deck aside from freshman phenom Greg Dortch, as running back Cade Carney, defensive end Duke Ejiofor, and safety Jessie Bates III have made successful recoveries from their injuries.

For those interested we will be tailgating LIVE from the Belk Bowl starting around 8 in the morning in the 624 McNinch St Lot. If you are going to the game be sure to travel safely and cheer loud for the Deacs!
