Stanford defeats Boston College 30-20

The Stanford Cardinal picked up its first win of the season, a 30-20 conference victory over the Eagles. Stanford outscored Boston College 10-0 in the second half. The Cardinal defense turned three BC turnovers into 21 points. Running back Micah Ford led Stanford with 157 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Quarterback Ben Gulbranson completed 13 of 22 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Sam Roush caught three passes for 79 yards, including a 69 yard touchdown catch. For Boston College, Dylan Lonergan threw for 333 yards and a touchdown on 30-44 passing. Reed Harris caught seven passes for 141 yards.

Boston College falls to Michigan State 42-40 in OT

Boston College vs. Michigan St.: The Eagles lost in double overtime, 42-40 on the road to the Spartans. Turbo Richard ran the ball in to give Boston College a lead in the 2nd overtime, but their 2-point conversion attempt failed. Then Michigan State got a rushing touchdown by Aidan Chiles to tie up the game, and Chiles hit Omari Kelly for a 2-point conversion and the win. Boston College quarterback Dylan Lonergan completed 34 of 45 passes for 390 yards and four touchdowns. Turbo Richard ran the ball 13 times for 55 yards and a touchdown, and he caught seven passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Jeremiah Franklin had eight receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Chiles led Michigan State with 231 passing yards and four touchdowns on 19-29 passing. He also ran the ball 12 times for 39 yards and a touchdown. Nick Marsh caught five passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
