What's on the line on the final regular season day of ACC basketball games?

It is the final day of regular season games in the ACC. Some games have a lot on the line, and other well not much. Here’s a quick look at each game.

Virginia Tech at Miami 12 PM

Both Virginia Tech and Miami picked up huge wins over Duke and UNC this past week that locked up NCAA bids. The winner of this game probably gets leg up in avoiding the 8/9 NCAA game. With the ACC tournament yet to play either could work themselves up to a 5 seed or as low as a 10 seed.

Wake Forest at Georgia Tech 12 PM

Not much more than pride on the line in this one. Though both shown have just enough flashes this year that a win could build  momentum to pull off an upset in the ACC Tournament.

Clemson at Syracuse 2 PM

If Syracuse wants to make one last desperate push for the NCAAs, they must win this game.  Clemson probably locks up no worse than a 5 seed with a win.

Boston College at Florida State 2 PM

Boston College is probably headed to the NIT, and a win would lock that up. FSU doesn’t want to be 8-10 in the ACC heading to selection Sunday. If the Noles win they should be dancing. If they lose – they’ll need a really good showing in the ACC Tournament.

Notre Dame at Virginia 4 pM

Notre Dame with Bonzi Colson is a different team. If they win put them back on the NCAA bubble. Virginia will be a #1 seed no matter what happens. Despite the miraculous win at Louisville, I don’t think the Hoos are playing their best basketball right now.

Louisville at NC State 6 PM

The Cardinals gagged a win over Virginia away the other night. They are squarely on the bubble and could use a road win over NC State. The Wolfpack just lost at Georgia Tech. Even though I think they are in the NCAAs, they probably don’t want to lose to Louisville at home. The winner here won’t need to win another game to make the Big Dance.

North Carolina at Duke

Both UNC and Duke took stunning losses this past week. A win here would be obviously huge for either following those defeats. Both are NCAA locks and top 4 NCAA seeds, but it’s still UNC and Duke and that’s enough.
