Miami vs. Virginia Tech: The #24 Hokies defeated an undermanned Miami team 80-78 in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech led by as many as 17 in the second half, but Miami cut the lead down to one with 26.8 seconds left in the game. The Hokies defense forced the Canes into 19 turnovers and blocked four shots. Keve Aluma scored a career-high 26 points for Virginia Tech and grabbed six rebounds. Justyn Mutts added 15 points for the Hokies. Miami was playing once again without Chris Lykes and Kameron McGusty. Isaiah Wong scored 13 of his team-high 16 points in the second half. Harlond Beverly had 14 points, nine rebounds, and six assists for the Hurricanes.
