North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech: The sixth-seed Tar Heels advanced to the ACC Tournament semifinals after defeating the third-seed Hokies, 81-73. North Carolina trailed by three at halftime, but their size seemed to wear down Virginia Tech as UNC went off for 49 points and had 15 second-chance points off of 15 offensive rebounds in the second half. Freshman RJ Davis led all UNC players with 19 points. Armando Bacot had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, doing most of his damage in the second half. For Virginia Tech, Justyn Mutts led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds, and Tyrece Radford scored 20 points.
