The North Carolina Tar Heels may just be welcoming in their next great dunker in the 2018 class.

Point guard Rechon “Leaky” Black is no ordinary player at his position and the class of 2018 UNC signee will bring a different style of play to the table.

Black was in action on national television Thursday night, playing in the Bigfoothoops’ Las Vegas Classic with his EYBL squad, Team CP3.

The team coached by point guard Chris Paul also features fellow 2018 signee Coby White who made a name for himself in the EYBL Spring circuit.

But on Thursday night, Black had the highlight that had everyone talking.

Watch as he puts a defender on a poster and throws down a big slam dunk with authority:

As you can see, the dunk caught the attention of his coach Paul who LOVED what he saw from the point guard.

Despite Black’s efforts, Team CP3 fell short to the Oakland Soldiers 62-61 on a pair of free throws with just under 3 seconds left.

Team CP3’s tournament ends while the Oakland Soldiers advance to play for the championship on Friday.

Black finished with just 7 points in the losing effort and White had a team-high 20 points for Team CP3.

The two are the only signed UNC recruits in the 2018 class, both making early pledges to Roy Williams and the Tar Heels. Black is currently ranked as the No. 69 player in the 2018 class and White as the No. 25 player in 2018.
